The Power of Place
Greetings from Mountain Lake!
If you are someone who has experienced the intellectual community and magic of the Station, or someone who has admired from afar our work and contribution to science, learning, and the understanding of the natural would we all live in, I hope that you will consider giving back so that we can continue offering extraordinary opportunities.
Special Gift Areas:
The Walton Lecture series was initiated in 1980 and is the cornerstone event of the summer. The event brings to the Station community prominent thinkers in evolution, ecology, field biology and animal behavior, and provides a forum for discussion of topics related to ongoing Station research. Dian Fossey, Doug Futuyma and Jonathan Losos are just a few of the scientists who have shared their work with Station residents and visitors. Annual cost for the lecture is about $2,000. With your support the Walton Lecture can be sustained for years to come.
Walton Lecture Sponsor: $1,000
Walton Lecture Supporter: $500
Fellowships and scholarships allow us to offer financial assistance to those students who might not otherwise be able to study at the Station. Your support ensures that passionate students will be able to experience all that Mountain Lake offers.
