Expense Reimbursement Forms:

• Project Expense Reimbursement: Student and mentor participants can use this form (click here) to request reimbursement for REU-project related expenses and purchases. Obtain REU Coordinator approval before making purchase. Download the Word document, complete, print, sign, and submit to MLBS Office within 30 days of purchase.
  
  
• Travel: REU program student participants and invited guests can request reimbursement for travel to and from the field station by any form of public transportation and/or personal vehicle (logged mileage only). Please review the UVA travel cost procedures before you travel - Air and Rail Tickets. To get reimbursed for travel expenses you must download the Excel form "Travel Workbook," and complete SHEET #2 (Travel Reimbursement Request). Be careful not to use the "Proposed Travel Pre-approval" sheet by mistake. Completed forms must be printed, signed, and submitted along with original receipts and/or boarding passes to the REU Coordinator within 30 days of the return trip.
  
  
• All reimbursements require complettion of the Individual Payee Registration Form (UVA students or employees do NOT need to do this). This is a simple and completely electronic on-line form that must be complete before your first request for reimbursement. It only needs to be completed once.
